Eligibility Requirements

To participate in the Influencer Affiliate Program, you must:

• Have an active social media presence on at least one major platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, or blog)

• Maintain a minimum of 1,000 engaged followers/subscribers on your primary platform

• Create content related to home improvement, interior design, lifestyle, real estate, or related niches

• Complete the JJB Affiliate Program application and agreement

• Provide valid tax identification information (W-9 for US-based affiliates)

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Comply with FTC guidelines for disclosure of affiliate relationships

• Maintain authentic engagement (no fake followers or fraudulent engagement tactics)

How the Program Works

Step 1: Enrollment

• Complete the online affiliate application at influencer.jjbhome.com

• Submit required documentation (social media handles, W-9)

• Receive approval and unique affiliate referral code/link within 5 business days

Step 2: Promoting JJB Services

• Share your unique referral code or trackable link with your audience

• Create authentic content showcasing JJB services (with proper FTC disclosures)

• Customer contacts JJB and uses your referral code/link during initial consultation

• Customer receives 10% discount (up to $5,000) on their first project

Step 3: Earning Commissions

• JJB completes the project and receives full payment from customer

• Commission (2% of total invoiced project revenue) is calculated after project completion

• Payment is issued according to the payment schedule outlined below

• Permit fees paid to third parties

• Subcontractor costs for work not managed by JJB

• Project invoice total: $50,000

• Customer discount (10%): -$5,000

• Amount customer pays: $45,000

• Affiliate commission (2% of $45,000): $900

Payment Terms

Payment Schedule

• Commissions are paid 45 days after project completion and full payment receipt

• Payments issued monthly for all qualified commissions from the previous period

• Minimum payout threshold: $100 (commissions under $100 accumulate until threshold is met)

Payment Methods

• Direct deposit (ACH transfer) - preferred method

• Check mailed to address on file

• Payment processing takes 3-5 business days after issue date

Tax Reporting

• All affiliates will receive Form 1099-NEC annually for commissions totaling $600 or more

• Affiliates are responsible for all applicable taxes on commission income

• International affiliates subject to additional tax withholding requirements

Clawback Provisions

Commissions may be reversed or reclaimed under the following circumstances:

Full Clawback (100% Commission Recovery)

• Project Cancellation: Customer cancels project before completion or within 30 days of completion

• Non-Payment: Customer fails to pay for project in full within 90 days of completion

• Chargebacks: Customer disputes charges and successfully reverses payment

• Fraudulent Referral: Referral involves misrepresentation, fraud, or violation of program terms

• FTC Violation: Content promotion violates FTC disclosure guidelines or other applicable advertising laws

Partial Clawback (Prorated)

• Partial Refunds: If customer receives refund for incomplete or unsatisfactory work, commission reduced proportionally

• Project Modifications: If project scope reduced after contract signing, commission adjusted to reflect actual completed work value

Clawback Period

• Clawbacks may be applied within 180 days of commission payment

• Notice of clawback provided within 10 business days of triggering event

• Recovery made through deduction from future commissions or direct repayment request

• Affiliates with negative commission balance may have account suspended until balance resolved

Content Creation Guidelines and Requirements

All promotional content MUST include clear disclosure of affiliate relationship:

• YouTube: Verbal disclosure in video + written disclosure in description

Content Quality Standards

• Content must be original and created by the affiliate

• Professional or high-quality smartphone photography/videography

• Accurate representation of JJB services

• Positive, authentic tone (forced or overly promotional content discouraged)

• Proper grammar and spelling in written content

Referral Requirements and Restrictions

Proper Referral Attribution

• Referral code/link must be used by customer at time of initial contact with JJB

• Retroactive referral claims not accepted after project contract is signed

• Only one affiliate receives commission per project (first valid referral code/link used)

• Cookie duration: 30 days from initial click (customer has 30 days to initiate contact)

Prohibited Practices

Affiliates may NOT:

• Misrepresent their relationship with JJB Home Improvements

• Make false or misleading claims about JJB services

• Use JJB name or trademarks without written permission

• Guarantee project outcomes or pricing without JJB authorization

• Refer themselves, immediate family members, or entities in which they have financial interest

• Engage in spam, unsolicited communications, or unethical marketing

• Purchase fake followers, engagement, or use bot services

• Bid against JJB using paid advertising on JJB branded keywords

• Share or transfer affiliate account access to other parties

• Create negative or disparaging content about JJB or competitors

• Fail to disclose affiliate relationship as required by FTC guidelines

• Use misleading before/after images not representing actual JJB work

• Make income claims about the affiliate program itself

• Promote JJB services in adult content, gambling, illegal activities, or controversial contexts that could damage brand reputation

Customer Discount Terms

Discount Application

• 10% discount applies to first project only with referred customer

• Maximum discount value: $5,000 USD

• Discount applied at time of contract signing

• Cannot be combined with other JJB promotions or discounts

Eligible Projects

• Minimum project value of $10,000 (before discount)

• Applies to new home improvement contracts only

• Includes remodeling, renovations, installations, additions, and repairs

Excluded Services

• Emergency or urgent repair services

• Warranty work or service calls

• Maintenance-only contracts

• Projects with materials only (no labor)

Program Modifications and Termination

JJB's Rights

JJB Home Improvements reserves the right to:

• Modify commission rates, terms, or program structure with 30 days written notice

• Suspend or terminate affiliate accounts for violation of terms

• Discontinue the program entirely with 60 days notice

• Reject referrals that don't meet program requirements

• Audit affiliate activity, content, and referral validity

• Remove access to brand assets and marketing materials

Affiliate Termination

Affiliates may be terminated immediately for:

• Violation of program terms and conditions

• Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation

• Purchase of fake followers or engagement manipulation

• Unethical or illegal practices

• Damage to JJB reputation or brand

• Failure to comply with FTC disclosure requirements

• Failure to maintain required documentation

• Creating content that violates community standards or platform policies

• Consistent low conversion rates indicating poor audience alignment (see below)

Minimum Performance Requirement

• Affiliates must generate at least 1 completed and paid project within their first 6 months

• After initial 6-month period, affiliates must maintain at least 2 completed projects per year

• Accounts inactive for 12+ months with no qualified referrals may be deactivated

• JJB reserves the right to terminate affiliates whose audience consistently shows no interest in services

Upon termination:

• Pending commissions for completed, paid projects will be honored

• Commissions for incomplete projects are forfeited

• Access to affiliate portal and materials revoked

• Affiliate must cease all use of JJB marketing materials and remove promotional content

• Affiliate must stop representing themselves as a JJB affiliate

Voluntary Withdrawal

Affiliates may leave the program at any time by providing written notice to [email protected]. Commissions earned prior to withdrawal date will be paid according to standard payment terms.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Confidential Information

Affiliates agree to maintain confidentiality of:

• Customer information shared during referral process

• JJB pricing, business practices, and proprietary information

• Commission rates and payment terms (unless required by law)

• Any non-public information about JJB operations

Data Protection

• Affiliates must comply with all applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

• Customer data may only be used for legitimate referral purposes

• Affiliates may not sell, share, or misuse customer information

• Data breach or misuse may result in immediate termination and legal action

Limitation of Liability

JJB Home Improvements is not liable for:

• Content created by affiliate or audience reactions

• Affiliate's compliance with platform terms of service

• Affiliate's tax obligations or compliance issues

• Lost or delayed commissions due to customer non-payment

• Technical issues affecting referral tracking

• Changes to social media platform algorithms or policies

• Maximum liability to affiliate limited to unpaid commissions owed

Affiliates agree to indemnify and hold JJB harmless from claims arising from:

• Affiliate's violation of program terms

• Affiliate's misrepresentation or fraudulent activity

• Affiliate's violation of FTC guidelines or advertising laws

• Content created by affiliate that infringes on third-party rights

• Claims from affiliate's audience members

Dispute Resolution

Internal Resolution

• Disputes regarding commissions or program terms should be submitted in writing to [email protected]

• JJB will investigate and respond within 15 business days

• Good faith efforts will be made to resolve disputes amicably

Binding Arbitration

• Disputes not resolved internally shall be settled by binding arbitration

• Arbitration conducted under rules of the American Arbitration Association

• Arbitration venue: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

• Each party responsible for own legal fees unless arbitrator orders otherwise

Class Action Waiver

Affiliates agree to resolve disputes individually and waive right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any legal action must be brought in courts located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
